The one-punch man is a satirical character of the strongest heroes. He is exactly what Goku would have become, had he not continued to find opponents able to stand up to him.

Saitama defeats everyone with a single punch, is doomed to boredom and apathy, one could say because of his author’s “fault”.

He seems to be perpetually dazed and distracted, and says that he wants to be a hero “as a hobby”, rather than to save humanity, or for employment, since in his world this opportunity exists.

In short, it is the perfect parody of those characters who are the superheroes, the cheeky protagonists, who never give up, all over the world.

Saitama, in my opinion, is not stupid, he is just very bored and apathetic, made up of this eternal dissatisfaction and inability to find an enemy equal to him. He spends his days always doing the same things, which they can no longer exalt him: no monster strong enough, no mysterious or human being, capable of beating him or putting him in difficulty (that I know of, so far).

I still don’t know the real origin of his strength, only those who read the manga will know… before me, since I only watch One-Punch-Man anime.

Yet, I am convinced that deep down, he really cares, in his way of him, to be the hero for the just cause, however, I believe that he is so immersed in his boredom that he is no longer able to get out of it. As if he were shy of his character, therefore, of the same strength as him.

Given the extreme power of the enemies, the “bald cloak” can be considered as the only true hope of humanity.

He is really an ambiguous and mysterious character, who however, at the same time, is so simple that he is: “as you see him”, without filters, without closing himself somewhere: clear, simple, and transparent.

A character who stumbles between the epically strong and the epically trashy, impossible not to love him.
